Save on social networks:

A considerable number of girls today are interested in the question: how to properly shave the bikini area. After all, this procedure is quite delicate, and therefore it is important to know all the possible features.

Reflecting on such a question, girls come not only from an aesthetic point of view, but also worry about the comfort, as well as the practicality of such a shave. And this is no coincidence: if the removal of hair on the legs is carried out easily and quite comfortably, then the bikini area brings a lot of trouble. Therefore, you need to consider this issue in more detail.

But why exactly shaving? In fact, modern cosmetology offers its own ways to remove hair from the bikini area, and this can be done for a short time or even forever. However, for personal reasons, many of the fairer sex do not use radical methods, but prefer shaving at home.

And if you also made a choice in favor of shaving, then you need to pay attention to:

  1. choice of machine;
  2. a specific shaving aid;
  3. technique for performing the procedure.

Choosing the right machine

To make your bikini area look flawless, and the shaving procedure does not cause discomfort, you need a high-quality machine. All girls are familiar with modern women's razors. The ones that have a special moisturizing strip for a comfortable and easy shave. Such machines are disposable, or they can be designed for repeated use. But in fact, these machines are made specifically for shaving legs. And the difference is fundamental: for a delicate and delicate area, which is the bikini area, such machines may not be effective enough.

How to be? In this case, you should purchase another machine - man's. Yes, it is a man's machine. The fact is that such machines usually have sharper blades, therefore, this will greatly simplify the procedure. In addition, men's looms are made with the expectation of removing hairs in hard-to-reach places. And this already guarantees a positive result.

Choosing a shaving product

Along with the machine, you must also select the appropriate shaving product. This is one of the important components, because if you choose the wrong cream or gel, you can get a lot of delicate problems.

Some products can cause allergies or irritation, so before applying it to a delicate area, you need to test it, drop a little product on the inner side of your wrist and wait 1 hour, if everything is fine, you can safely proceed with the procedure.

The modern variety of such tools will allow you to make the right choice, but still some nuances should be taken into account. So, you should not buy male products: women's skin is softer and more delicate, so such products can cause an allergic reaction or skin irritation.

The best option would be to use a gel or foam for sensitive skin. The fact is that these products foam well, thereby protecting the skin from almost all types of mechanical damage.

Shaving technique

Now let's look at the key question: how can you do this with a razor? The technique itself plays just as important a role as the hair remover. And this is quite understandable: in inept hands, the razor will quickly make the whole procedure painful and nightmare.

So, the correct epilation of the bikini area involves the following actions:

  • first of all, before shaving, you should cut unnecessarily long hairs with the help of nail scissors. This step will greatly facilitate hair removal afterwards;
  • after preparing the bikini area, moisten the shaving area with warm water, and then apply the purchased gel or foam there;
  • you need to wait a few minutes. This will allow the active components of the shaving product to take effect and soften the delicate area, as well as hairs;
  • now you can start shaving. The razor should be moistened with water, while shaving itself should be carried out exclusively in the direction of hair growth. Otherwise, cuts and irritation will occur. The appearance of ingrown hairs is also possible;
  • if shaving is uncomfortable, then it is necessary to slightly pull the skin. This will greatly simplify the procedure;
  • in the event that you do cut yourself, be sure to treat the wound with hydrogen peroxide. Only then can you apply the lotion;
  • sometimes, ingrown hairs can be found before shaving. Then, before starting the procedure, you should use a body scrub. Its application will allow you to extract hair to the surface;
  • after finishing shaving, you need to blot the bikini area with a soft towel. This will prevent irritation.

If your skin is very sensitive in this area, then direct the machine towards the growth of hairs, in this way you will minimize possible irritation. After the procedure, be sure to use a cream to soothe the skin.

Here's how to do it. If you follow the rules described above, then there will be no problems when shaving. And this procedure will no longer seem unusually difficult and dangerous to you.

In the modern world, the presence of hairs on a woman's body, especially in the bikini area, is considered unacceptable. Therefore, even girls aged 12-15 are beginning to take an interest in the rules of hair removal at home. The simplest and most affordable method for removing unwanted hairs in intimate places is the use of a razor. But how to properly shave the bikini area with a razor in order to avoid irritation, is it not dangerous for health, and from how old can you do the depilation of the intimate area?

How to relieve irritation that appears

You can get rid of irritation both with the help of cosmetics and folk methods.

Effective cosmetic products include the following:

  • Bepanten cream. Effectively relieves redness, helps to heal and soften the skin. The skin is completely restored within a week.
  • Zinc ointment. Has an antiseptic effect, relieves irritation and redness of the skin. Recovery also takes about a week.
  • Panthenol cream. It is most effective in the first days of irritation, fights redness and moisturizes the skin well.
  • No less effective is a regular baby cream that can be used during pregnancy.

To combat irritation, you can use and folk remediesfor example, aloe compresses and sea salt baths.

Aloe can quickly soften the skin and get rid of inflammation. The leaf of the plant must be cleaned and the inflamed area must be rubbed with the sticky side, the procedure must be carried out 1-2 times a day for 5 days - usually this time is enough.

Baths with sea salt will also help. To prepare them, you will need to fill a basin with warm water and add a small amount of sea salt (no more than 2 teaspoons), mix thoroughly. After that, you need to sit in a basin of water, after a few minutes, blot the skin with a towel until it is completely dry.

You can get rid of burning and redness with a soda solution. It is necessary to wipe the skin 1-2 times a day - in the morning and in the evening. Within a few days, the skin will fully recover.

Particular attention should be paid to the choice of underwear. To prevent irritation and inflammation after shaving, as well as not to aggravate the situation if they do appear, it is recommended to choose underwear made from natural fabrics (for example, cotton or linen). It allows the skin to breathe and sweat out quickly.

Lingerie made of low-quality synthetics, on the contrary, will not allow air to pass through and will become an ideal environment for bacteria, in response to which irritation will appear, especially after depilation, when the skin is most vulnerable.

It is better to give preference to blades with special strips containing moisturizing cream.
  • For shaving, there are special moisturizing gels and foams that will help prevent irritation.
  • After shaving is complete, it is recommended to use hair growth retardants. They will not only prolong the effect, but also additionally moisturize the skin.

Prevention of skin redness and irritation

Typically, irritation occurs due to 4 basic reasons.

  1. You have to shave your intimate area too often.
  2. Depilation on dry skin.
  3. Refusal to use additional funds.
  4. Hypersensitivity.

You do not need to shave the intimate area every day, and during the procedure, do not drive the machine on dry skin, moisten it regularly.

Treatment with chamomile decoction will help relieve irritation and soothe sensitive skin. The main thing is that there is no allergy to the flower itself.

How old to shave

Can girls shave their hands

During puberty (it is individual for each girl), small hairs appear on the surface of the intimate zone. For some, this moment may come at 12-13 years old, for others a little later - at 14-15 years old. At first, the hairs are barely noticeable and do not cause any inconvenience. After a couple of years, their structure changes dramatically. They become thick and tough. During this period, many begin to think about the need to remove them.

Note! The opinion of doctors on this matter is unanimous: they are categorically against depilation of the bikini zone in adolescence.

Such categoricality is associated with the as yet unformed adolescent immunity. Weak immunity and the lack of a protective barrier in the form of a dense hairline can lead to the rapid development of infectious diseases in the female body.

If the idea of hair removal has finally settled in the head, then the question of how to shave a girl should be postponed until the end of the formation of the immune system, closer to 18-20 years.

  1. Do not start shaving immediately after waking up, because during the night fluid accumulates in the body, and the person swells slightly by morning.
  2. It is necessary to allocate a separate machine or at least a replaceable blade for the bikini area.
  3. Disposable razors are too simple and do not provide complete protection against irritation.
  4. If small red dots appear on the skin, then lubricate them with diaper rash cream.
  5. Haircuts in the groin are considered fashionable, so if you do not want to completely remove hair, you can leave a neat triangle.
  6. You can't shave every day, the skin must rest and recover.
  7. For the convenience of the procedure, you can use a small mirror.
  8. The desire to scratch the inflamed area should be suppressed, any mechanical movements will only worsen the situation.
  9. Store the shaving razor separately from other personal care products between uses.
  10. Too much itching may indicate an infection, so it is best to see a doctor.

Can I shave my bikini

Many girls wonder if home bikini shaving is justified, or if you should leave everything in its original form. Adherents of natural beauty argue that hairs are designed to provide further protection against harmful infections, so they should not be removed. Other experts say that harmful bacteria that settle on the hairs create optimal conditions for the development of viruses. That is why removing unwanted hairs in the sensitive bikini area is essential. hygiene procedure for every woman.

In everything, it is necessary to find a middle ground, so completely removing excess hairs on a bikini is not always justified, since a significant part of the susceptible intimate zone remains without protection from bacteria. That is why many remove hairs on the intimate surface along the extreme line of open panties, or decide to shave completely.

It should be noted that pregnancy is a contraindication for many depilation products, but in this position even women expecting a baby can safely use a razor.

Shaving before childbirth and during pregnancy

Shaving the groin of a pregnant woman is a little more difficult, and sometimes it becomes completely impossible to do it yourself due to the bulging tummy. In this case, you can seek help from a specialist. But you can do it yourself using a mirror.

Particular attention should be paid to sterility during the procedure, because in such a crucial period you are responsible not only for your health, but also for the health of the baby you are carrying. Wax

A woman who has decided that she needs depilation, ideally wants to get velvety and clear skin, not a hedgehog effect. One of the most effective hair removal products is wax. There are three types of its use:

  1. Hot waxing. The product is heated in a thermostat (or microwave) and applied to the skin. It warms up well and the hairs are well removed. After the procedure, it is recommended to take a contrast shower or wipe the skin with a piece of ice.
  2. Warm waxing. You need to carry out the procedure with wax warmed up to 50 degrees. It is also recommended to carry out skin disinfection and various soothing procedures. The effect of depilation lasts for 1.5 months.
  3. Cold waxing. It is ideal to use this wax if you have grown hairs. The product is purchased in the form of strips.

  • press down with a fabric strip;
  • wait until it cools completely;

Plants to quickly remove irritation and heal the skin

Plants with moisturizing, regenerating and disinfecting properties can also be used to eliminate irritation in the bikini area.

Epilator and bikini area

Electric epilators began appearing on the women's market over 15 years ago. In those days, they were quite popular and were in the arsenal of every second woman. Today the popularity of this device has subsided, perhaps this is due to the fact that the ladies had to experience strong painful sensations during epilation. A feature of the work of this device is the capture of each hair in the problem area and pulling it out. But, the fair sex, who use this method regularly, note that the hairs become much thinner over time, which means the painful sensations come to naught.

What to do if skin care doesn't work

Sometimes it happens that the means are used both before and after hair removal, hygiene is strictly observed, but still there is severe irritation, inflammation, rash, hair grows in and other problems arise.

First, you need to take into account the individual characteristics of the skin. For example, in some women, ingrown hair occurs anyway.

Secondly, the epilation technique may be violated. For example, the difference between waxing and sugarning is that in the first case, the hairs are removed against growth, and in the second - according to growth. If this is violated, then unpleasant consequences may appear.

In addition, you need to understand that only high-quality products can provide full care for sensitive skin. Therefore, it is not worth saving on them.
Cheap ones can themselves cause irritation and allergies. Also, perhaps this method of epilation is not suitable for you. It's worth trying another one. For example, switch from wax to shugaring or vice versa.

Wax depilation

Much more affordable way hair removal. A special adhesive mass is applied to the selected area of the body (today, in cosmetology, the choice of such substances is very wide and pleasant). After the applied mass hardens, it is removed with a sharp movement using special strips, the "stuck" hairs are removed along with the strips. For the procedure, the hairs must grow slightly and reach at least 0.5 cm, which causes some inconvenience.

The effect of the procedure will last for two to three weeks, but the interval between sessions can be increased. To do this, use creams that slow down the rate of hair growth. Over time, the hairs become thinner, it becomes much easier to remove them.

The main disadvantage of wax depilation is its soreness; after the procedure, irritation may remain on the skin for a period from one hour to a day.

Machine advantages

Women who use shaving razors note many advantages of such depilation:

  • mostly not expensive;
  • no need for a cosmetologist;
  • fast;
  • does not hurt at all;
  • safe (if the protective strips are built in);
  • subject to measures against irritation can be used daily (not with hypersensitivity).

To avoid many negative consequences it is important to observe one basic condition: shave must be wet (while showering or when applying special foams or shaving gels).

Now a wide variety of shaving razors have been created specifically for women, providing high-quality depilation and smooth skin after it, and all this taking into account more sensitive skin than men.

Electrolysis

This procedure must be carried out exclusively in specialized salons. In most cases, electrolysis permanently removes unwanted hair. During the procedure, a thin needle is inserted under the skin directly into the hair follicle, through which an electrical impulse is supplied, destroying the hair "at the root". After epilation, a crust forms on the skin, which heals completely in 1-3 weeks.

Benefits:

An indisputable plus of this method is that one course of procedures, in most cases, is enough to get rid of annoying hairs forever. The current destroys the hair from the root and prevents it from growing again. In addition, hair removal is the only method for which there are no restrictions on hair and skin color.

Disadvantages:

The painfulness of the procedure, along with its high cost, tops the list of disadvantages of electrolysis. Although the pain can be partially relieved with the help of local anesthesia (which, by the way, is also not shown to everyone). Secondly, electrolysis takes a lot of time, you need to act on each hair follicle separately, so it is divided into several rather lengthy procedures. This can take from a few hours of a single session to several months of regular treatments. In addition, such hair removal is fraught with numerous complications: the appearance of microburns, scars, edema, pigmentation, etc. Therefore, before agreeing to it, you must familiarize yourself with all the contraindications, possible complications and carefully weigh the pros and cons.

Depilatory cream

The cream is applied in a uniform layer to the selected area of the skin and after a while is removed using special devices.

Although the effect of the procedure is short-lived - only three to four days - the depilatory cream has many supporters: the procedure is absolutely painless, it can be used even with a low threshold of pain sensitivity.

The result of depilation directly depends on the uniformity of the application of the cream; after treatment, hair "bushes" may remain on the skin. Therefore, you have to choose between pain and cleanliness of the skin treatment.

To treat the deep bikini area successfully, study a few recommendations:

  1. You won't get the perfect result from a razor. It is used by women who cannot bear pain at all. For a long lasting effect, master wax and shugaring, although you cannot get rid of the painful sensations.
  2. Do not use new cosmetic depilatory creams. The skin can respond to them with irritation.
  3. Do not use various chemical and intimate deodorants immediately after depilation.

As you can see, depilation can be carried out using various methods. Experiment and stay beautiful.

Photoepilation

Such epilation is rightfully considered one of the most effective ways, and the speed and almost complete painlessness of the procedure completely brings it to the first positions. The technology consists in intense exposure to heat and light on the hair follicles. Because of this, the hair pigment is destroyed and the vessels that nourished the hair follicle coagulate. One session of photo therapy affects thousands of hairs, which allows you to completely remove unwanted "vegetation" in three to six sessions.

For regular bikini hair removal, the average number of flashes is 20-60 times.

Benefits:

If you have enough patience, photoepilation can completely rid you of unwanted hair. Every year the technology is improving more and more, today there is already a method that combines light exposure with vacuum. This procedure is almost completely free of discomfort and allows you to achieve impressive results.

Disadvantages:

The main disadvantages of photoepilation include its cost. In addition, it is not shown to everyone, there are certain contraindications. You need to prepare for such a hair removal procedure and observe certain conditions. First of all, you should not take sunbathing for about a week before and a week after the procedure; visits to the solarium and the use of self-tanning are also not recommended. Otherwise, you may get burned or irritated after epilation.

Want to try Brazilian wax but don't want a stranger dripping hot wax in “this place”? If you shave thoroughly, you can achieve the same effect. Moreover, shaving is less painful. Here are the instructions on how to become a pro and shave your bikini area completely, safely and easily.

Steps

Part 1

Front shaving

    Decide what your pubis should look like. Choose the option that makes you feel as feminine and sexy as possible. You have several options:

    • Shave off everything... If you completely shave your pubic hair, you do absolutely no harm to your health. The main thing is not to cut yourself.
    • Use a stencil... You will place a stencil, such as a heart shape, over your pubic area. Then you shave off all the hair around the stencil, leaving the heart-shaped hair in the pubic area. Stencils can be purchased at most adult stores or bought online.
    • Create a runway... This is the hairline that runs from the labia to the navel and you can make it thick (good for thick, unruly hair) or thin (for fine, sparse hair).
  1. Use scissors to trim your pubic hair before you shower. Leave 6 mm. Your razor may be gelled or have more blades than a child can count, but you still need to be careful with it.

    • To trim your hair in the most efficient way, take a small section of hair and cut it off. It is not necessary to cut straight, as long as they are short.
    • If the thought of bringing your scissors ... there ... makes you feel hot, use electric trimmers that don't have rotating blades. Rotating trimmers can cut your skin.
  2. Take a shower and moisturize your hair. You can even soak in the bath for a while before shaving. Softening the follicles will make it easier to shave off the first time. If you are going to wash your bikini area, do so before shaving to avoid irritating exposed areas later.

    • If there is no shower nearby (perhaps you are on a desert island), take a wet towel and place it on the bikini area for 5-10 minutes. The effect will be the same.
  3. Get rid of dead cells. You will probably meet people who will tell you that it is imperative to follow the order - first apply foam, shave, and only then peel. But if you want to become a pro in pubic shaving (and who doesn't want to ?!), then you should know - you need to cleanse the skin before and after. Thanks to peeling, the hair will "fall" in one direction, which will greatly facilitate the shaving process. Exfoliating will also remove excess dead skin cells for an even smoother shave.

    • Use a regular hard washcloth or bikini sponge. Take a sponge and run it over the required area - do the same as usual!
  4. Soak your bikini area with warm water and apply shaving gel. This is a prerequisite. Never shave your bikini area without lubrication... If you do not use shaving cream, then do not be surprised by severe irritation, sores and swelling.

    • It is best to use a non-scented shaving cream specifically for the bikini area. If you have sensitive skin, test on a small area before applying. Sometimes people have allergic reactions.
      • Buy a clear, non-foamy shower gel so you can see what you are doing while shaving.
  5. Lightly dampen your new razor. The more blades, the better - the fewer blades (and the older she is), the more times you will need to razor (not counting the time to reapply shave cream) For best results, buy one of the trendy lubricated razors.

    • If you take good care of your shaver, you can reuse it. When you're done, wash it, but don't leave it wet - water breaks down the metal, oxidizing and dulling it.
  6. Shave with long, slow strokes in the direction of hair growth. Place your hand on your belly, just above the pubis, to make sure your skin above the pubis is smooth and taut.

    • When shaving, let the blade work. Avoid pressing on the skin. Try to minimize the movement of the shaver, each new movement also removes the surface of the skin.
    • If you have thick, curly hair and little time to shave, try using an electric razor to trim it even further before using a regular razor for the finishing touches.
    • Rinse the razor in between if it gets clogged with hair.

    Part 2

    Shaving between the thighs
    1. Bend at the waist and lift your first leg. Try starting on the opposite side of your dominant hand (for example, if you are right handed, start on the left side). In general, this side is much easier and faster to shave. Bending over will help you see the area you want to see better. Place your raised foot on the side of the bathroom or sink if needed.

      • The process of peeling the skin for this area is no different from that described above. However, cuts and ingrown hairs are much less likely here, so the hardest part is over.
    2. Moisten the area of your skin and apply shaving gel. Be careful not to get any gel or other shower products between your lips. If you feel that the gel is rinsing off with water, you will need to reapply it.

    3. Shave with smooth, horizontal strokes from outside to inside. For example, if you shave the left side, shave from left to right. Use light touches. Stop in front of the center end of the lip. Rinse off any remaining gel when you finish shaving the first side.

      • You may want to open your legs so that the skin is taut and taut when shaving, so that you don't have to work on folded and wrinkled skin.
      • Following this technique, shave the opposite side of the labia.

    Part 3

    Preventing irritation
    1. Exfoliate again. You might be thinking, "Again?" Yes. Again! Repeated exfoliation helps to get rid of dead cells that your razor has stirred up and straightens the follicles, preventing hair from ingrowing (worst of all).

      • In this case, a sugar scrub can work wonders. If not in your bathroom, make a baking soda paste to make your skin soft to the touch. This will give you a first-class result.
    2. Dry your bikini area with a soft towel. Don't rub your bikini area too much, especially if you have delicate skin. Otherwise, irritation may appear.

      • If you notice any remaining hairs, grab a pair of tweezers and finish the job. Sometimes you can spend almost hours shaving, but still, in the end, skip a few hairs.
    3. Use something without fragrances, as they can irritate freshly shaved skin. Aloe vera or baby oil are standard remedies and both are very good.

      • Also avoid dyes. If you are using lotion, buy the simplest one. If you want, you can perfume the shaved area with something later.
    4. If you are afraid to shave your entire bikini area, then try to start by shaving your bikini line.
    5. Thick underwear or trousers can cause irritation after shaving, while cotton underwear and loose trousers can help avoid chafing with lumps and ingrown hairs.
    6. Apply coconut or olive oil to the bikini area for about half an hour before showering. This will make your hair softer and easier to shave off.
    7. Always shave in the shower, not dry. If you are unable to shower, apply a wet towel to the bikini area for 5 minutes before shaving.
    8. Try coconut oil and a few drops of tea tree oil. Coconut oil moisturizes, while tea tree oil prevents irritation and swelling that usually occurs after shaving.
    9. You may feel itchy as your hair grows back. But itching can be prevented by using a new razor and shaving the bikini area with gentle, slow strokes. Fortunately, the itching will go away after a few times.
    10. Watch for red bumps that appear in the next few days after shaving. You can apply a special ointment to remove any swelling in the bikini area. Look for such an ointment in pharmacies or supermarkets.
    11. Aloe vera gel is a great shaving aid. It can also help relieve irritation and itchiness after shaving.
    12. Many people believe that baby powder leads to ovarian cancer. So you better refrain from using it.
    13. Trim your hair with a trimmer before shaving, then shaving will be less painful and take much less time.
    14. Don't shave the same spot over and over again! This can lead to ingrown hairs, which is painful and ugly!
    15. Warnings

    Nowadays, it is customary to get rid of unwanted vegetation not only in the armpits and on the legs, but also in the intimate area. Smooth skin looks more aesthetically pleasing than thick hair, which often causes discomfort. Many girls, even after trying modern methods of depilation in the form of sugaring and waxing, return to standard shaving. This is a proven painless way to remove hair from all areas of the body, including the bikini area. To avoid the irritation that often occurs when shaving delicate areas, it is important to know and follow the rules for the procedure and the subsequent care of treated skin.

    If everything is clear with the depilation of the armpits (at present it is impossible to imagine a girl with thick hair in the armpits), then the situation with the bikini area is not so simple. Should you succumb to fashion trends and completely shave off hairs in intimate places, or does it make sense to leave hair on delicate areas?

    Proponents of natural beauty argue that hair is designed by nature to protect organs from dangerous infections. Others say that these same bacteria and viruses, lingering in the hair, create a favorable environment for the reproduction of pathogenic microorganisms and the development of diseases. Therefore, shaving intimate areas is a necessary hygienic measure for a woman.

    As usual, the truth must be found somewhere in between. Deep depilation, which affects all areas of the bikini, is not always justified: the procedure is not only difficult to perform, but also leaves the intimate surface really without natural protection against bacteria and viruses. But the removal of vegetation completely in the pubic area or exclusively along the line of the panties, so that the hairs do not protrude from under the underwear, is an understandable aesthetic measure that does not interfere with the proper functioning of the intimate organs.

    Some girls shave off the vegetation on the surface of the pubis not completely, but leaving a thin strip of short hairs. This type of bikini depilation is called French. In addition to the strip, you can perform any other intimate haircut.

    Which machine is suitable for depilation of intimate areas

    Before proceeding with the procedure for shaving hairs in intimate places, it is important to choose the right tool for this type of depilation - a machine. It depends on this to a greater extent whether the procedure will be as safe as possible: without cuts, as well as subsequent irritation and inflammation. It is important that only you use the purchased machine (for hygienic reasons).

    To remove hairs in the delicate bikini area, do not use disposable machines that have a stationary head. The blades used in these tools are not of high quality. To perform the procedure efficiently, take a special razor designed for women and having a floating head. This will provide easy shaving of hairs on the uneven relief of the intimate zone. And the protective strip on reusable machines will make the session more comfortable and safe.

    Use razors with at least 3-4 blades. With these machines, you can quickly remove hairs without the need to repeat the tool over the same area, which is often the cause of irritation on delicate skin.

    Currently, a large number of razors are presented, which differ in cost and ergonomics. Below, in ascending order of prices, are the most popular and well-proven women's machines, used, among other things, for depilation of the intimate zone.

    Table: ladies shavers

Additionally, the machine is equipped with a trimmer that has 4 levels of height and allows you to model hairs.500
    A reusable razor with a comfortable rubber grip and a flexible three-blade head. Thanks to the built-in gel pads in the shaver, no additional cosmetics are required when using the shaver: you just need to moisten it with water.750

    Keep the blades sharp: it is recommended to change them after 6-7 times of use.

    In addition, for a comfortable shave, it is important to purchase a quality gel, rather than using regular soap, which does not provide skin protection from cuts and irritation. A special tool will make the hairs softer and more pliable, ensuring that the blades glide easily over the surface.

    A proven product is Satin Care Gel, which is ideal for depilating delicate areas. It simultaneously softens, moisturizes and cools the skin, nourishing it with beneficial vitamins and oils. This is quite an affordable tool - the price of one package starts at 200 rubles.

    How to shave your bikini area without unwanted effects

    In order to shave intimate areas without the risk of irritation and inflammation, it is important not only to choose the right machine and gel for the soft glide of the blades. The technique used is no less significant: holding the razor over the skin in any direction will make the procedure unsafe and reduce the quality of the result. There is a proven technique for shaving hair correctly, which must be followed.

    However, first you need to prepare the intimate surface for the upcoming procedure, which requires the following steps:

    1. The day before the planned procedure, scrub the skin in the bikini area - this will help remove the stratum corneum so that the hairs are shaved as close to the roots as possible.
    2. If the hairs in the bikini area are too long, then trim them with scissors with rounded ends to 5-7 mm.
    3. To steam the skin, take a warm shower (10-15 minutes is enough) or use warm compresses dipped in an herbal solution. This softens coarse hairs and makes them easier to remove with a razor.

    The procedure will take place without cuts, redness and irritation, as well as the risk of ingrown hairs in the future, if you follow the shaving technique:

    1. Dampen your bikini area with warm water and apply a gel designed to treat the skin while shaving.
    2. Foam the composition and wait until the composition is absorbed into the skin and softens the hairs - 5 minutes is enough.
    3. Place the shaver under running water or immerse it in a container of warm water for improved glide.
    4. Pull the leather a little with one hand, and run the machine with the other. Follow the movements in sequence: first along the line of hair growth to avoid ingrowth, and then in the opposite direction for the smoothest skin possible.
    5. Rinse the blades from time to time to avoid trapping hairs between them.
    6. Add the required amount of gel as needed to treat the entire bikini area.

    Shave movements should be as smooth and soft as possible. Avoid applying excessive pressure or running the razor over the same area several times to avoid cuts. If you do get hurt, immediately treat the damaged area with Chlorhexidine or hydrogen peroxide.

    Once you have finished the procedure, take care of the proper care of the treated surface. This will minimize the risk of irritation and redness. First of all, do the following:

    1. Rinse your intimate area with warm water and gently pat dry with a towel.
    2. Treat your skin with an antibacterial agent - Chlorhexidine, Miramistin, or hydrogen peroxide will do.
    3. Apply a soothing moisturizer to smooth skin.
    • Don't rush to get dressed immediately after the procedure - let your skin rest for 10 minutes.
    • Do not rub or massage the treated areas within 2 days after depilation, and also refuse to use alcohol-containing lotions for surface treatment before and after the procedure.
    • After 2 days, deeply cleanse your bikini skin using peeling. Subsequently exfoliate at intervals of 2 days to prevent the risk of ingrown hairs.
    • For the next 3 days after the procedure, avoid wearing underwear made of synthetic materials and tight-fitting to the body.
    • Do not start shaving if your intimate areas have pimples, other inflammations, or skin lesions.

    Choose evening time for depilation so that the skin can fully recover during the night.

    In addition, you should not expose delicate skin to daily depilation. Allow the surface to recover from shaving for 2–3 days. It is better to start the next procedure when the hairs grow back a little, otherwise the skin will react with the appearance of red spots, irritation and itching.

    How to deal with irritation in your intimate area after shaving

    If irritation occurs, it is important to immediately treat the skin with special means, otherwise the likelihood of an inflammatory process is high. A worsening of the situation is indicated by the appearance of small pimples, an increase in surface sensitivity and the occurrence of itching. In this case, you should postpone the next procedure for shaving hairs and do the correct treatment.

    Cosmetic and pharmaceutical compositions

    In case of slight redness, lubricate the treated areas daily with the following cosmetics:

    1. Floresan cream. Not only promotes skin regeneration, but also slows down the appearance of new hairs with regular use.
    2. Klorane cream. It has a pronounced moisturizing effect on delicate surfaces, reducing irritation and itching.
    3. Velvet cream gel. Quickly removes irritation on very sensitive areas by disinfecting the skin.
    4. GreenMama gel. Thanks to the inclusion of arnica and aloe in the form of extracts, it reduces the intensity of discomfort after shaving and accelerates skin healing.

    Apply creams, ointments or gels until the bikini surface is completely healed.

    In case of increased irritation and the occurrence of pronounced pimples, it is necessary to use antiseptic pharmaceutical preparations, since ordinary cosmetics are no longer necessary. The most popular are:

    1. Salicylic ointment. Helps to soften the dense layer of skin, preventing increased inflammation and ingrown hair. It is necessary to use the ointment with caution, since allergic manifestations in the form of itching or slight burning sensation may appear. It is used daily to treat damaged areas.
    2. Zinc ointment. Inexpensive pharmacy product that dries out inflamed areas. Promotes rapid removal of burning sensation and reduction of itching. It is distributed over problem skin several times a day (no more than 3 times).
    3. Bepanten cream. Helps reduce inflammation by disinfecting and softening the surface. It is applied in the morning and evening hours every day in an even layer.
    4. Vagisil cream. It is a product with herbal ingredients, which is designed to moisturize the skin after each depilation procedure.
    5. Boro Plus cream. Suitable for use on sensitive areas: it has a pronounced healing effect due to the content of natural ingredients. It is best used in the evening and left on the surface overnight, as the cream has a greasy texture.
    6. Gel Traumeel S. It is used for severe inflammation, as well as in the presence of edema. Apply to irritated areas about 3 times a day.

    Remember to cleanse your skin before applying cosmetics or pharmaceutical products.

    Folk ways

    Try using herbal compresses as a supplement to ready-to-use remedies available at drugstores or beauty stores. They will help you deal with inflammation, red spots, and itching faster.

    To make a herbal compress, use a popular recipe:

    1. Place the dried herbs of sage, chamomile, mint and celandine in a small container (just prepare 1 teaspoon of each ingredient).
    2. Pour 1 cup of the herbal mixture with water and put on low heat.
    3. Cook for about 6-8 minutes.
    4. Cool and filter the prepared broth.
    5. To treat irritated areas, take a soft towel soaked in liquid.
    6. After 15 minutes, simply pat dry your skin with a dry towel.
    7. Perform sessions for at least 5 days in a row.

    For the treatment of inflamed areas, you can prepare a regular chamomile decoction by pouring 2 tablespoons of dried flowers with 1 glass of boiling water.

    Parsley infusion has a strong antibacterial effect, which is prepared according to this recipe:

    1. Pre-cut a small amount of parsley so that you get 1 tablespoon of chopped leaves.
    2. Pour the prepared parsley with a little boiling water (1 cup is enough) and wait 25-30 minutes.
    3. Strain the resulting infusion.
    4. Dip a tissue in the liquid, which must then be applied to the inflamed area.
    5. Leave the compress on for 10-15 minutes.
    6. For the best effect, carry out the procedure at least 2 times a day.

    For healing and antiseptic treatment of the intimate surface, aloe is also used, which can be found in almost any home. If this medicinal plant does not grow on your windowsill, then you can purchase aloe juice at the pharmacy and treat problem areas with it daily. The leaf must be cut in half and applied to the skin with the meaty part for 10-15 minutes.

    If you notice that the skin is very dry after shaving, then you can prepare a moisturizing composition with sour cream:

    1. Prepare a mixture of 1 teaspoon thick sour cream and 0.5 teaspoon olive oil.
    2. Having thoroughly mixed the resulting composition, distribute in an even layer over the skin in the intimate area.
    3. Wait about 10 minutes.
    4. Use a dry cloth to remove any remaining mixture.

    Of the essential oils, tea tree essential oil works best for relieving inflammation. Just do not use it separately - before applying, be sure to mix the essential composition in the amount of 2 drops with a tablespoon of base oil (olive, almond or other). Wipe the irritated areas with the resulting mixture every day.

    Apply folk remedies regularly until the surface is completely restored. The time it takes for delicate areas to heal depends on many factors: shaving technique, proper care and individual characteristics. A slight redness goes away rather quickly - within about a day. If unpleasant symptoms persist or worsen for a longer time, consult a professional (preferably a dermatologist).
