In the beginning, not a big background, so that it is clear what and how in the future. A couple of years ago, banks simply deceived people, luring them in with interest, luring them with tricky contracts and the simplicity of taking a loan. And when people realized that they were simply robbed, there was nothing to do. All that remained was to sit and pay in bondage. The fact that due to the leaps in the exchange rate, the depreciation of the national currency, credit rates shot into gigantic interest, no one was surprised. Immediately, the interest on loans became 50% -70%. Everything seems to be legal. But at present, when finance in the form of loans has flowed into the republic, the national currency has strengthened and, according to all forecasts, is not going to rise in price again several times, the interest rates on loans should have become lower. But here is the deception that bankers use to powder the brains of the average man.

In 2007-2008, due to complaints from customers of different banks, a decree was issued, according to which, banks were ordered to indicate the total percentage so that bank customers, especially those who do not know much about interest at all, could clearly understand how much they would have to pay ... And then the banks went to the trick. In those years, loans were offered at 14-17 percent. But when they came to the bank, whole performances began. Indeed, you were promised that they would give money at 14%, for example. This means that from 12,000,000 rubles, you will overpay 1,680,000 rubles. In principle, okay. When buying a product, it is not uncommon to find it cheaper in a small retail outlet or in an online store, and you save exactly as much as you pay for using a loan. In general, the game is worth the candle. But the first tattoo starts when you read the loan agreement. It turns out that the promised 14% is just for today. In fact, you will be paying the refinancing rate and another two percent to it. If the rate goes up, then you also hit the money. This was the case last year. Imagine how people got stuck when they found out that under the contracts concluded earlier, where they paid 12% of the rate and another 2 percent, today they have to pay 45% and another 2% to it. But that's not all. Now you are told that you are paying for some kind of cash register service. In other words, you are offered to pay more for bringing money to the bank. Now also for some kind of loan support. These are all monthly payments. Quite good. But that's not all. You are trying to withdraw money from a card in a bank, but the same bank will charge you more interest.

Seeing this situation, then a document appeared, where banks were obliged to set a real percentage, and not to mislead people. If in total it turns out that you pay 70%, then the contract should indicate 70% and that's it. No more gimmicks. And what has changed today? We go to OJSC "Home Credit Bank".

We are trying to take out a loan in the amount of 10,000,000. And they joyfully announce to you that they will give you at 24%. But there is a trap in the agreement again. There is a little fad, in which the point is that due to the change in the refinancing rate, the bank is entitled to unilaterally notify the client to raise the interest rate. That is, you will receive a letter in which they will indicate to you that you "got". Do you think everything? No matter how it is. Usually, banks charge interest on the balance. These are decent banks that are trying to attract more customers. But not Home Credit Bank. Here is the trick. Again, not giving a damn about all the recommendations of the Ministry of Finance and the National Bank, all the decrees, in the agreement we see "cash services" - 5.24% monthly. Do you think this percentage is taken from the remainder? No matter how it is. It is clearly spelled out: “… from the initial loan amount. In other words, even when you have already paid almost everything, you will pay 5.24% of the same 10,000,000 rubles. And so on until the last day. Do you think everyone? But no. We look further. There are also so-called one-time payments. In general, the loan does not suit you. You refuse, anticipating that these are not all pitfalls.

But after looking at the terms of the consumer loan, I was simply shocked. I'll be honest. To borrow from the most greedy neighbor, at extortionate interest rates (100% per annum), will still be cheaper. I have not seen such a deception anywhere and in any country in the world. I have never seen such a ridiculous loan. But they give it in small amounts. From 500,000 (about $ 40) to 2,000,000 ($ 235). You want to borrow one million ($ 115) for 14 months. The interest rate is 24% per annum. Everything is correct. Plus, the same cash service. At the rate of 5.24%. It seems to be nothing more. But suddenly you discover a very interesting banking invention in the loan repayment schedule. Your entire loan of 1,000,000 rubles is divided into you in equal shares for 14 months. And you will pay interest on the loan from the balance. But in the first monthly payment, you see the amount of the first payment of 1,082,600 rubles. Have mercy, but from where? It's simple. In the first month, the bank will charge you 62,602 rubles for repaying the principal debt and 20,000 rubles for repaying interest. And another 1,000,000 for a commission, immediately for the entire period. Further, throughout the entire term of the loan, you will pay 82,600 for the repayment of the principal debt and interest, which will decrease. Everything is fine according to bank documents. And purely humanly, what happens?

And humanly, you are robbed in broad daylight. They give you 1 million and offer to return it in a month. But not a million, but 1,082,602 rubles. And you will receive only 980,000 rubles in cash at the cash desk. It turns out that in a month you have already returned the entire amount to the bank, and even on top of 102,602 rubles, which, one way or another, is almost 10% of the amount. In fact, you have already returned the money to the bank. But no matter how it is. Now you pay for giving you this money for a month. And this will result in another 1,156,000 rubles for you. The bank is all right. This is not the loan you returned, but the commission. But for the client, what's the difference. In reality, it turned out that he, taking 980,000, returned all the money in a month, throwing another 10% on top. Little of. Now the client will pay further until he pays another 1,156,000 rubles. If you count everything clearly to a penny, it turns out that you even took interest at 198, 24% per annum. Well, how do you like a loan at 24%?

The payment schedule is usually pinned to the very bottom. It is not uncommon for banks to simply not talk about the amount of the first payment. The girl tells you that in the first month you pay off, as well as the subsequent ones, in equal shares, the principal debt, the interest on the balance and the amount will decrease. And they take a commission only once, at the first payment. Prove later that she did not tell you the amount of this commission. Some, after reading that the commission amount is 5.24%, they think that it will be about 52,400 rubles. And that's all. In general, to be honest, I never found how they counted 1,000,000 commissions. What, what costs justify this amount. So, you better stay away from such banks. The only bank that has more or less honest loans is probably "***** bank". They indicate real percentages. There are no cash services, loan escorts, loan insurance (with rare exceptions) and incomprehensible commissions.

Home Credit Bank easily issues loans. But giving them away is difficult. If for the bank there is a difference - the main debt and commissions, then for the client there is none. He pays money anyway. And to take a loan (to have the audacity to offer such a loan), the amount of which you will return in a month and still owe more than the loan amount, is not just meaningless, but simply stupid. But, interestingly, someone takes.

But what about the Decrees and Recommendations? But what about the speeches of big officials who said a lot that it would be enough to deceive the people by exposing low interest per annum on loans, and then strip off three skins, hiding real interest under various commissions and other payments? No way. Looks like the Home Credit Bank didn't care about that. In general, everything returned to normal.
